Happy and Holy Month of the Most Holy Rosary & (Oct. 11th -- Nov. 24, 2013) the Brand New 'Year of Faith'! --
We closed the Sept. message with this: "So, upon October, we hope to share with you a beautiful way of praying the prayers that goes beyond the beading features." Faithful to that promise, here it all is at length:
With great joy and faith we share the following with you as we now advance toward the inaugural day of The Year of Faith on the 11th. Having shared in Sept. how to architect the beads and all of the MRMRosarium, welcome now to a greater importance... hence, this monthly message is longer than the normal ones. How to pray it will be private, which sounds restrictive, while praying with the specially made beads themselves would not be restricted since it wouldn't overtake any rosary in vocal recitation. Yet one day in Mystical Rose prayer groups -- small or large, at Conferences and/or especially at Her shrines, etc. -- this MRMR may be recited.
Indeed, here is why we can privately add words to the Hail Mary and with permissions even in certain public forums:
namely, Blessed Pope John Paul II wrote in his famous Apostolic Letter on the Rosary, introducing the Mysteries of Light, that the rosary has varying styles, different historical customs of public recitation in different cultures -- though nothing too radically different for public prayer, especially.
For eg., having been in Mexico for 9 years now, an added expression of "Lady" and also of "all" in Spanish Hail Marys is public ... Almost all of them pray: "Blessed are you, Lady, among all women...." In English, it's only "Blessed are you among women...."
Certainly our MRMR Ave (Hail Mary) can be private ... If you try it sincerely then you will interiorly experience its directed benefits... greater love yet for the Mystical Rose, and more. Now, since Oct. is the Month of the Most Holy Rosary, feel free to leap ahead and see how much in a special way the MRMR can be prayed (which I already do daily, in private): whether in Latin, English, or any other language: (underlinings show the MRMR new style)
"Ave Maria, Rosa Mystica, Gratia Plena... Sancta Maria, Mater Dei et Ecclesiae..." since she appeared asking Pierina to get Her medal made with Rosa Mystica on one side and Mother of the Church on the other.... Of course, the 3 dots ... include the other normal prayer words. So, to see the whole Rosa Mystica Ave in English:
Hail Mary, Mystical Rose, Full of Grace, The Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God and of the Church, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Also, the principal mystics of each corresponding continent can be added in silent pause or invoked verbally. If in private silent pause, the best place would be after "Holy Mary, Mother of God...." If verbally, likely at the start of the decade, announcing the decade, one of its fruits, and then inviting the continental mystic saint(s) to join in... for eg., for communal recitation, regarding one of the greatest mystics of all time who is also a co-patroness of the continent (therefore all the more to be favored):
"2nd decade," [name (eg. "The Visitation"); fruit of mystery (eg. "for charity"];"for Europe" ["St. Bridget please intercede for us...."]
[Surely St. Padre Pio can be added to Bridget, if not a few more, but keeping the list a bit short -- since the rosary is not a litany of saints in itself, although in private any length is fine. Another one is St. Henry II, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire since his memorial is dated, believe it or not, on July 13 -- Mystical Rose Feast Day!].
Also, at the very start of the first 3 Aves of the branch of the wreath of the rosary, in the MRMR symbolized by swords in the 3 beads, we could do well to include St. Mary Crucified of the Rose since this foundress was the only saint to appear beside the Mystical Rose. The Blesseds of Fatima could easily be invoked, too, after especially the Fatima Prayer closing the decades: "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins... in most need of Thy mercy. Blesseds Francisco and Jacinta, pray for us." Remember that when they appeared with the Mystical Rose, Mary told Pierina, "be simple as these children."
A man very active at the Rosa Mystica shrine in Italy, named Vito, and an older man, too, actually do pray the rosary using the title Rosa Mistica in Italian and other expressions as well. The local bishop supposedly stated that they cannot alter the Hail Mary publically (if even in their prayer groups? -- of that I'm not certain, if Bishop Monari refuses such).
I loved learning from them just last year that they also are praying there at Fontanelle something like to this style of Hail Mary -- whether or not exactly word for word, I don't recall. It's the Italian family with the shop between Montichiari and Fontanelle and their group at the shrine... this could certainly be the Holy Spirit gifting the Church with a new dimension of rosary in honor of Rosa Mystica.
The inspirations I had were already in effect beforehand but the careful split of "Mystical Rose" and "Mother of God and of the Church" were later in my prayer life, having learned that the Bishop over there was rightly cautious of overdoing things that are traditional.
All the same, tradition itself is of the Holy Spirit Who "renews the face of the earth," and it comes from Latin tradire, which means handing down what the H.S. can bind or loosen even in the instincts of the people before the Magisterium decides upon it or the Holy Father with the keys of Peter.
Finally, PRIVATELY ONLY, I prefer to also add "Holy Mary, Mother of God and of the Church, and Holy Joseph, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death." Too, I like to sometimes insert the saint of the day after Joseph, at least at times, or even a preferred saint of the continent... why not? Mary loves companion saints for prayer in Heaven. But this addition is not intended for public groups, for it would be too much, too long to extend verbally upon others... for tradition keeps also a certain measure.
Fr. Ed, Texas, SOLT, but MRMS too in spirit!
Have a Blessed & Holy October month of the Most Holy Rosary and Brand New "Year of Faith"!
May Our Lady ever-flowering & overflowing with graces & blessing unfold in us The 3-Fold indwelling Divinity (of Her 3 'Roses') to ever spring, sing, and ring alive.
